The Italian Plumber's latest adventure on the Wii claimed the coveted Best Game Award (Nintendo). Best Game - Super Mario Galaxy Despite missing out on Best Game and three other categories, Fable II picked up the BAFTA for Action & Adventure (Lionhead Studios/Microsoft Game Studios). Action & Adventure - Fable II The quirky worlds of LIttleBigPlanet were enough to win it the BAFTA for Artstic Achievement (Media Molecule & XDev Studio Europe / Sony Computer Entertainment). Artistic Achievement - LittleBigPlanet Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was awarded the sought-after Gameplay Award (Infinity Ward/Activision). Gameplay - Call of Duty 4 After 60,000 votes from the public Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was crowned the winner of the BAFTA Game of the Year Award in 2008. It was the title's third Award of the night following wins in the Gameplay and Story & Character categories (Infinity Ward/Activision). Game Award in 2008 - Call of Duty 4 Boom Blox from Electronic arts picked up the Casual Award (Electronic Arts LA/Electronic Arts). Casual - Boom Blox The fiercely contested Handheld category was won by the mystery puzzle game Professor Layton and the Curious Village (Nintendo). Handheld - Professor Layton and the Curious Village First-person horror shooter Left4Dead won the Multiplayer BAFTA (Valve). Multiplayer - Left4Dead Third-person horror Dead Space survived the competition to take home the Original Score Award (Electronic Arts). Original Score - Dead Space Race Driver: GRID accelerated ahead of the competition to claim the BAFTA in the Sports category (Codemasters Studios/Codemasters). Sports - Race Driver: GRID The turn-based game Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution won the Strategy BAFTA (Firaxis Games/2K Games). Strategy - Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution As the Awards night evolved Will Wright's Spore was presented with the Technical Achievement Award (Electronic Arts Montreal/Electronic Arts). Technical Achievment - Spore Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare picked up its second Award of the evening when it won the Story & Character BAFTA (Infinity Ward/Activision). Story & Character - Call of Duty 4 After collecting the Award for Original Score, Dead Space made a clean-sweep of the sound categories by claiming the Use of Audio BAFTA (Electronic Arts). Use of Audio - Dead Space Boro-Toro won the BAFTA Ones to Watch Award in association with Dare to Be Digital. The game from DarkMatter Designs is a side scrolling platform puzzle using an innovative control system using Wii technology. Ones to Watch Award - Boro-Toro Nolan Bushnell, collected the Academy;s highest achievement - the Fellowhip at the GAME British Academy Video Games Awards in 2009. Academy Fellow - Nolan Bushnell
